TRAYECTO

Pasear por cementerios se considera una actividad extravagante o propia de tribus urbanas. Tampoco visitamos las tumbas de nuestros muertos.

Se propone un recorrido por el cementerio de Nuestra Señora de la Almudena, Necrópolis del Este, Madrid. Siguiendo un trayecto fijo, un laberinto univiario. Una peregrinación desde un margen a un centro, ambos improbables. Un movimiento de la memoria. Memento mori.

Here the labyrinth form is perhaps a metonym of the search for the self, for it demands a continuos wandering, a relinquishing of the knowledge of where one is. A labyrinth is comprehensible only when seen from above, in plan view, when it has been reduced to flatness and we are outside its spatial coil.
